Sapphires Rhythmic Gymnastics

Mikayla has been a rhythmic gymnast for 15 years and has trained at the recreational, provincial and national stream levels. She was a past member of the Manitoba Provincial Team, and she has also won Level 6B and 6C Provincial Champion titles.

 

Mikayla is a Gymnastics Foundations and NCCP Level 2 certified coach, and she is currently working on completing her NCCP Level 3 training. Mikayla coaches our IRG programs, as well as our Level 2-4 Provincial Stream classes and she assists with the Level 5-6 class.

 

In addition to the Sapphires, Mikayla has represented Canada at World Gymnaestrada in 2011, 2015 and most recently, July 2019 in Austria with Manitoba Fusion.

 

Outside of gymnastics, Mikayla is a bilingual university student, currently working on completing a degree in Athletic Therapy at the University of Winnipeg.

 

Honoured to be named Head Coach of the Sapphires Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, Mikayla is looking forward to continuing the Sapphires tradition of fun, fitness, and friendship and expanding her coaching experience.
